Burn Rubber Burn

Burn Rubber Burn is an exercise and health program for people with physical disabilities that operates in accessible gyms across Sydney.

Burn Rubber Burn provides affordable and accessible exercise in gyms across Sydney for people with physical disabilities.

Regular exercise is known to be of immense benefit to people with physical disabilities. Exercise is an integral part of ongoing health maintenance and helps people improve their general health, well-being and independence.

Secondary diseases that commonly affect people with disabilities, such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, can be reduced through regular exercise and ultimately reduces the burden on the individual, their family and health care providers.

The Burn Rubber Burn program is identical to what you would find at any other gymnasium, except the equipment is accessible for people who use wheelchairs or with other physical disabilities. Trained staff are always present to assist people in using the machines and throughout their exercise regimes.

The program currently assists over 100 people with disabilities such as multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury, post polio, stroke, brain injury, amputees and many more, use the program each week.
